I own two Ripples, CRKT knives being a guilty pleasure of mine.
The blade rides on the Ikoma-Korth Bearing System (IKBS), and may be the smoothest pivot mechanism you'll get at it's price point. It snaps open, although you can also open it two-handed, like a traditional.
The pocket clip holds the knife very securely, but causes a hot spot on your hand if you grip too tight. I removed the clip from both of mine, and I think it gives them a "steampunk" look (another favorite thing of mine).
The smaller Ripple is more pocket-friendly without the clip, but the larger one is more practical for cutting chores.
