New from CRKT is the Russ Kommer designed Alaska Bwana folding hunter. Blade is 4" AUS-6 stainless, dual steel (420J2?) liners, textured Zytel scales, and dual thumbstuds.

Thanks for the pic Dex. I was wondering about the handles because I saw a picture of it on 1sks's site, but it had smooth Micarta looking handles, yet the description read Zytel. The blade IS satin finished, right?

I really like the looks of this. So much so that I am tempted to contact Mr. Kommer and inquire about the custom version.

What do you think about the design Dexter?

I've already got one , great knife . It cuts like crazy , and with that high hollow grind should skin great also . Do yourself a favor and get one .

Javier - what you might have seen on the 1SKS site was a pic of a custom made prototype of the knife. At the time, it was the only pic of the Bwana that was currently available.

Dennis - I love it! The handle fits my hand very well. The knife feels very comfortable. I like the high hollow grind. I can tell it will probably cut like crazy. I'll be using it in the kitchen some to road test it. Also, the handle scales have a bit of a contour to them, making the knife feel very good in the grip. Fit and finish are awesome, per usual CRKT standards.

I like the design :D It looks to be a great cutter, as you mentioned Dexter, and I've always liked that point style. Looks very utalitarian.
