Knives as jewellery?

This comes close.......

I've long been an admirer of Ed Halligan and his famous K.I.S.S. design knives - this rainbow - anodized titanium nitride plated - Spectra PECK is a very attractive knife and looks a lot more expensive than its cost.....

Nicely presented -

Compared with CRKT Ed Van Hoy Snap Lock2, open -

The Ed Halligan designed Spectra PECK is actually a frame-lock - whereas the Snap Lock2 has a unique opening/lock mechanism see the review I posted here - CRKT Van Hoy Snap Lock 2 .

Neither of these are for hard work - Spectra PECK is 420J2 and the Snap Lock2 is in AUS-4 - pretty low grade steel -

But as I've found EDC'ing a (most probably) 420J2 knife - see - $7 Edc? - although 420J2 is still nothing to write home about (in fact I feel like washing just typing this...:o ) even a low-grade steel seems to do pretty well for normal general cutting - bear in mind all 3 of these knives are 1 3/4" edged blades - not exactly designed for heavy duty work - so even these low grade steel seem "suitable".

Anyway I did NOT get these two knives to use for heavy duty utility work - I have plenty of utility/boxcutter knives for that -

These are to my eyes very attractive knives - "cute" even - they make great money clips - or even jewellery-like hung from a neck cord.....

They may go some way to introduce non-knife knuts to the world of (attractive) knives.

I have a CRKT P.E.C K . Excellent little knife. I often just clip it to my shirt like a tie clasp . I get a few looks but most people just accept an old duffer like me opening the little knife to slit a letter or a box . A friend gave me the knife just curious as how much I would carry and use it I guess.

Yes, a tie clip is a great way to carry the knife in more formal attire.

Which way do you clip it - knife- or clip- side out?

A small knife is very handy and encourages one to carry the thing -
like people say - the "best" knife is the one you have with you.......

Thanks for the great input.
