I was just looking at the Bear claw and the site says that is is made from "2150 stainless". Does anyone know what 2150 compares to? i.e. 440, 200 series, ats 34/55(doubt it)?

2150 sounds like it would be a carbon steel. As opposed to being a stainless. Ive never heard of it though. Ill be intersted to hear the answer to this question as well.

IUBI -

The CRKT model number for the serrated edge blunt tip Bear Claw is 2510. The knife is made of AUS-6M stainless, which is, IIRC, roughly equal to 440A in edge-holding performance, but is very tough and highly corrosion resistant.

Hope this helps!
