Hi everyone,
I hope this is the right place to ask. Anybody making crooked knives?

Thanks Jozsef

Like a wavy bladed dagger?

There are a few who do them on here. I've dabbled in it, but that's it.

They are difficult to clean up after forging, so mine look rather 'tribal' to use the words of Mr. Goddard.

I'm not fully familiar with crooked knives, but I believe Jozsef is referring to a particular desing of knife. Do a google image search and you'll see what I mean.

Jozsef, I haven't seen anyone post one on here, but that's not to say some here haven't made them in the past or present.

We received lots of hits on our site today from here.

Aki and I make a Haida, North Pacific coast style hook/ crooked knives after the likes of the late master carver Bill Reid. Handforged from L6 and 15n20.
I've custom made high quality crooked knives along with adze and slicks for 17years.

If you want to make your own I wrote an article in the Feb/March issue of
Canadian Woodworking magazine. You can order a copy online.
We, Aki and I, have a tutorial on making your own.
