Crow for dinner?

Yup, so I'm eating Crow now. Just got my mini grip in the mail tonight and I fell in love immediately.

The size it exactly what I like, the ergos are near perfect for my hand, and this axis lock is clearly far better than the rip-offs I've tried in the past, before knowing they were rip-offs. It's just simply understated. Best way I can think of putting it. This lock looks like it actually locks solidly, unlike the fakes that are seconds from collapsing under any pressure.

I guess, back when I had that Griptillian I found in a parking lot, I just wasn't really into knives at the time, so I didn't care. I didn't even really know what Benchmade as a brand was at the time. Wishing I had kept it now.

Thanks for putting up with my earlier BS and talking me through it fellas.

Oh and for the supposed QC issue, none to be found here, from what I can see.

Gotta love a Mini-Grip!

The only thing better is a mini-grip with an STR low-rider clip!

Yeah, Griptilians are great knives.

I hate the way they look but, the ergonomics are very good. Mine is within arms reach as I type this. :)

I have to say my Griptillian (full-size) taught me (almost) everything I needed to know about modern folding knives, in that it is (almost) perfectly wrong for me. Having bought one, I learned almost everything I subsequently needed to stay well away from.

That's not to say The Gripper is a bad knife. Far from it. Anyone who wants or needs the things it does well will, I'm sure, benefit from having one. For what it is, it is very well executed.

But everything I need done by a knife is better done by something other than a Griptillian.

Ahhhh, delicious crow. This is the Internet, where everybody is wrong. You can't avoid it, but it's good to see that you're learning from it.

And I too.
I didn't bad mouth the mini ( I love my full size Grip) I just passed over the mini for a long time because I was sure it was too small / handle too short.
Wrong.
It hasen't stayed home a day since I got it and the 154CM has been doing well for me. I finally got a chance to use it to trim a small amount of hard rubber and it held up.
Good practical knife and I like the way it looks just fine. I am glad it has a parkerized clip rather than painted.

OP : Pics or it didn't happen.

Yeah, I still haven't gotten into taking pictures of my knives. Guys would say the same in the gun forums back when I was heavy into them. The only pictures I ever enjoyed taking were if my watches. I guess I'll get around do it. Not sure how to post them but once I get some shots in sure there's a how to section here for that.

I have two Griptilians and like both of them. My favorite one has a black coated blade and od scales. As far as Benchmade QC issues are concerned, they appear to have really upped their game lately.

I'm not sure that I would want to plaster pictures of any firearms I might own all over the internet. Call me paranoid but, I don't think it is a good idea. I also don't like it when people call their guns "weapons." It has very negative implications among those that don't own guns. The news media does enough of that as it is. We don't need to help them along.

Lolwut? This is my beloved Walther PPS M2 LE, the cute little single stack I carry in an IWB holster more than any of my other carry guns. I'm not going hunting with it, and while I certainly use it at the range frequently that's not the reason I keep it on me, near the center of my body within reach of my strong hand. It's a weapon, and if I ever did have to use it to defend myself or my family it's a weapon I'd be happy to have handy:

They didn't call it the "Griptilian" for no reason. It's a tremendously ergonomic design, which for me is probably its defining characteristic. Some find the mini griptilian too small--to be expected given natural variations in hand size--but personally (small hands alert) I can get a more secure grip on my mini than almost any other folder I own. It's also quite stout for a small knife. Honestly, the only knife that feels better in hand thus far is the LE full-size carbon fiber version pictured below--though I would imagine the G-10 version is close or possibly equivalent.

Ok, to you it's a weapon. To me, it is a handgun.

Anything used in a defensive or offensive manner can be defined as a weapon. Unfortunately, most people only look at the offensive aspect of the term and politicians and the media both know this. So, go ahead, keep calling your firearms weapons, and re-enforce a negative image of gun owners.

I have XL/XXL size hands. I am considering a mini grip but I'm a little worried it will be a 3 finger knife, not that it would be the end of the world if it was. I like the Delica and Dragonfly 2 which are probably similar size wise.
I have my big knife need covered and have had a Griptillian full size before. Just hoping this wont be too small for a smaller knife.

I wear XL and it’s a 3-3.5 finger knife. I only carry it in areas requiring sub 3” blades. It’s a fantastic knife, especially in 20cv.

I'm about to have to go out of state and just want to play it safe. Want something more than my Dragonfly 2.
Thanks btw
