Crow for dinner?

Ok, to you it's a weapon. To me, it is a handgun.

Anything used in a defensive or offensive manner can be defined as a weapon. Unfortunately, most people only look at the offensive aspect of the term and politicians and the media both know this. So, go ahead, keep calling your firearms weapons, and re-enforce a negative image of gun owners.
Negative image of gun owners? By whom? Politicians and the media are sure to not want us to have any scary weapons, but what if they're wrong?

Humans and weapons go hand in hand.

Lolwut? This is my beloved Walther PPS M2 LE, the cute little single stack I carry in an IWB holster more than any of my other carry guns. I'm not going hunting with it, and while I certainly use it at the range frequently that's not the reason I keep it on me, near the center of my body within reach of my strong hand. It's a weapon, and if I ever did have to use it to defend myself or my family it's a weapon I'd be happy to have handy:

It's a tool. A man's heart and mind are the weapons.

I understand what you're saying, very doubtful we have any anti-gun/weapon politicians or media hanging around this forum though. At least I hope not!
