Crowdsourcing the perfect folder

I prefer opening systems in this order:

Waved
Flipper w/AO
Thumb Stud w/ AO
Flipper
Thumb Stud
Spyderhole
nail nickers

I think a wave feature with a spydie hole gives you a great combination of speed, positive opening control, and simplicity.

I agree, but after doing alittle research I believe the wave feature is a patented feature. I do agree with you though. I was actually thinking of perhaps a hex shape for opening so it serves as a double feature. If I could incorporate the wave feature without infringing on a patent that would probably be a good option IMO.

Assisted opening, 3.5" blade with thumb stud and flipper.
No recurve but lots of belly.
Tip up carry.
Ti framelock with scale on opposite side.
Hex and glassbreaker are cool but bottle opener is uneccessary.

My Surfire has all kinds of groovy stuff!

Cordcutter, glassbreaker, wirecutter, wrench, flathead/flipper, flathead screws, Ti frame lock, S30V, thumbstud AND thumb hole, pivot bushing, wire clip, thumb jimping, best ball detent I've ever felt ............. got to be more ......... oh yeah! Sick logo to boot!

Heck of a knife!:D

I think the new HEST folder that might come out is using the "bottle" opener as a disguise for a wave feature.

What do you think .... looks like it would work both ways.

You know I have been looking at that knife along with the new essee folder. Its a pretty nice looking folder, and the features are well thought out, but I do not like the cord cutter feature. I have no doubt it works well but aesthetically it does not work for me.
Besides that one little peav of mine that seems almost like the perfect EDC.
PS I also like the pivot screw.

For some reason the cord cutter on it doesn't work well. Definitely wont cut a pant leg.

The pivot screw and bushing do work well.

The way the thumb disk is placed it can be waved but not consistently.

The clip is so tight that the glass breaker pokes your palm when you push the blade over your pocket.

It is a very good cutting blade.

ALright this is after taking in what all you are wanting/saying what I am considering at this time. Tell me if this strikes you as a great EDC or not.
1. Ti framelock with s30v blade DLC coated black.
2. G-10 textured on non-lock side
3. Pivot that is flush and uses a dime to tighten/loosen.
4. Hex head as opening feature on blade along with flipper feature.
5. Drop point blade with lots of belly (No recurve)
6. GLass breaker in butt end of knife that is removable if not wanted.
7. Ti clip setup for deep cary, that can be moved to tip up/ or tip down carry.
8. Cutout in scales for cordcutter feature.
9. All screws use phillips or flathead hardware.
10. Im thinking either 3/16 (.187) or 5/32 (.156) thick blade???
11. Hopefully a few more hex shapes in Ti scale

Let me know what you guys think.

Sarge Yea I agree it does look like it would work for both bottleopener and wave feature, very slick.

Sounds like a you're onto something I'd consider buying.

Flipper is fine, but waved opening would be supreme--kinda like how the HEST incorporates that into the spine of the blade.

The prybar could be shaped so that it would easily break glass if needed.

Sealed pivot would close the deal--just like in the ZT 0500 MUDD.

I really like full-flat grind, just like in the Tim Gaylean Junkyard Dogs (pro series) take a look at them.
