Crowell/Barker Competition Knife - Why no love?

Browning name and Taiwan manufacture. The Ice Storm faced a similar issue, but then the price fell through the floor and everyone loved the deal they snagged.

I've always liked the look of it, and admired it in A. G. Russell's catalog for years. I just don't use a knife in that size. I've seen the prices slowly drop down, and may just have to find one, eventually. Again, though, I don't see myself actually using it. It will be one of those knives that I'll one day say, when I finally get around to needing it, that, "I wish I could find one of those."

So, why don't one or two of you guys buy one, and keep it safe for me, so that when that day comes, I can just ask you for it. ;)

You said a mouthful there! The Ice Storm was manufactured for Browning by Mcusta. It had aluminum handles and a VG-10 blade. I bought mine for $30.00 NIB! To this day, I consider it to be one of the best knife buys I ever made. (Borrowed pics below.)
