crown on wheel

i'm having belt sander wheels made, of aluminum and i was wondering if i should have a round crown, or one like a v? this crown is for better belt tracking on the wheel.

The wheel should be convex (larger diameter at the center than the edges), unless you want your belt jumping off the side.

thanks jb. now i have another question. that part that is in the middle of the wheel, that connects the hub to the outer rim, hould i put it in the middle or to one side?

Not sure exatly what you mean, and I haven't really seen your design, so I think you should talk to whoever is making the wheels, as they probably know what they're doing.
