Sam, How much of the flat are you looking for? What size?

Mike, about 3 lengths of the wider stuff (2"?), and only about 2 of the thinner stuff (1"?).

Sam, I'll try and see where they are regarding stock and availability. Any chance you could make do with round stock?

I saw Tracy has it, and no offense to him his price is no doubt GREAT, but I am a cheap ass so am shopping around. Plus shipping from the midwest as opposed to from upper NY would be easier also.

Get it from Tracy, Sam. Cru Forge V is behind on the list of steels for rolling.

NSM is working on rolling out steels like CPM154, CPMS30V, and CPMS35V. Looks like they're on schedule for release later this month or early next month (hopefully!).

And stop being so damn cheap. ; )

I received an e-mail from Bob at NSM about the CruForge V at the beginning of November last year. Here's the main part of that message:

"There is a lot of Cru Forge V in the Arlington district. You can contact them at 800-365-1168 for details. We may not be getting involved in this grade. I spoke to Scott Devanna and he feels that it will always be available from Crucible via a distributor or bar mill."

Looks like he was right about NSM not getting involved with the CruForge V. Hopefully Arlington is still open...let us know if you contact them please

I found a duplicate post of this one I posted a few months back, had Scott's number there, called it and spoke with Rhonda today, I will put my order through with them no problemo as soon as I transfer funds.
