I had been wanting to do this build for quite a while, and finally got around to it. The knife is inspired by one of the tantos from the Boker knife company. It's a sleek blade, and I think the pronounced "American" tanto tip looks pretty cool. The blade grind is almost a full flat grind, but not quite all the way through the spine. The hand rubbed finish features contrasting polishes on the bevels vs the flats. The beveled handle is black G10 and the pommel features a hardened/tempered skull crusher point. The lanyard hole has been chamfered and polished. The spine has been crowned and polished as well. Fits surprisingly well in the hand! The steel is Crucible's Cru Forge V, and has been triple quenched and triple tempered for a final hardness of 62-63HRC. This steel in combination with this heat treatment will offer excellent performance. It has extremely fine grain along with good wear resistance and toughness. The edge geometry is probably thinner than what you might expect from a factory knife of this type, but this is a custom shop, and this bad boy...will cut! (cue Doug Marcaida). This knife will be a cool addition to anyone's collection.
