I talked to the Dallas service center and they said that it is not available in knife maker quantities. From looking at the data sheet it would make a hell of a knife. It appears as if it is, essentially, stainless 10v.

Has anyone looked at mpl-1? If so have you been able to get your hands on any?

MSC sells PM A11, which is like 10V. You'd have to slice it into blade thickness. They have PM M4 too.

A11 is the same as 10v in make up acording to the data sheet
that said im not sure if A11 has to me made PM style like cpm10v

Thanks for the comments and information. I really like cpm steels, although I have an open mind about other mfgs.

BTW, Butch, the only thing prettier than your micarta is your knives sandwiched between your micarta... I'm a big fan and aspire to make knives of the same caliber. I've got a long road to hoe and a ton to learn.

A-11 PM is sold as a partical metal process steel. M-4 PM too. I have no idea if MSC priceing is anygood or not. $389 for a 1x4x12 length sounds kinda rich.
