The blade was obviously Reese Weiland inspired.

You're getting better at this.

Try putting in the stop pin on the bottom.

You can get a bit of MDF maybe 4 x 12" something bigger than the whole kkknife

and put a hole in it, then press a long pivot pin through the bottom handle and into the MDF to keep it straight.

It will help you see how the arcs flow and where your stop notches should be.

Thanks. What is MDF?

Forgot to add...

Blade, lockbar, and full length spacer will be .187 ATS34. I will be ordering a half sheet of .060" 416 stainless for the liners. The scales will likely be .250" red fiberglass that I will hand sculpt.

You could also use steel, or aluminum, or micarta, but MDF is super cheap and I have it around

MDF is medium density fibreboard

I usually get a piece like that and get it cut into 1 square foot pieces for free in the store.

a super cheap super flat plywoodish product

It's helpful to keep a few squares at the drill press so you have something backing your piece
especially with Kydex, it helps keep the drilled hole clean

It saves the drill press table and it's faster to stack up a few instead of always moving the drill press table up and down.

CM, MDF is what they make the sub woofer speaker boxes out of for cars. Ask your local car audio shop if you can scrounge through their scraps. Also if there is a Tap Plastics near by, go dumpster dive for plexi glass sheet scraps.

I might end up using 2 stop pins, something sorta like the Demko lock without the self adjusting wiggle room holes.
