Hope you like it!

Great looking knife....how was it working with and finishing out that steel?

I saw you post this one on Facebook and I'm a HUGE fan of this one! I'm drawn to stacked leather handles and you did it very nicely!!

Very cool Erik. Unlike Mr. Snake, I'm usually NOT drawn to stacked leather handles... but you nailed it with this one. I love the way the layering angle changes with the flow of the handle. Awesome work.

best Taurus yet!
imo

I tapered most of the pieces of leather. Not the nicest thing to do but it looks much nicer.

The reason I ask is that I got a Fighter forged from that material a couple years ago and the maker commented it was 'different' and kind of hard to rub out....that from an ABS MS.

This is a great variation on a wonderful design, nice work Erik!

Love your knives, Erik. I like the thick spine coming out of that leather handle. Looks ready for some serious work! Would like to be able to hold that one. Bet it feels great in hand.

LOL. You thank me, but your hands and forearms curse me for introducing you to that stuff, right? Adam Derosiers told me that he bouth all that wass left over of the steel that was rolled. He said that has almost 5000 pounds of the stuff!!!!! Masochist!!!!:D
Thanks for the steel, Joe!

It's good stuff, but at higher hardness it does scoff at even the best sandpaper like Black Ice or the red Rhynowet once you get up around 400 grit.

It does need a bit more determination to finish it but it seemed to take a nicer finish at lower grits. That or I was getting bored.

I love the tapered layers and the discrete integral bolster. Nice work Erik, when are you next going to visit us in UK?
