CruForge Taurus 12 with stacked leather handle.

I tapered most of the pieces of leather. Not the nicest thing to do but it looks much nicer.
I think it looks nicer like that.

Thought I'd posted in this thread already, have come back and checked the pics out lots.
Agree with Joe's post the most, Stand out piece !
Thanks for sharing, Erik.

Even then, you are just rounding off the tops of the scratches that the DIAMOND coated plate made. LOL Erik, what color DMT are you using for that? The ones that I have are too coarse, I think.
It helps to take out the grindmarks with a DMT Diafold first.

You are very negative, Joe.:) I use the red DMT after grinding to 800 grit Trizact.
Don't stop grinding at 120 grit on Cruforge.

Very nice knife Erik!

I see you have new wooden shoes! :p

Kind regards,

Great looking knife Eric. The stacked handle is really nice and I can see that it would have been a challenge to taper all those pieces. Turned out very well and I bet its comfy in the hand. Interesting comments on the Cruforge. I have a project to do with it and by the sounds of it I might be in for some sore shoulders.
Cheers Keith

hehe.... :)

Just finish the knife as nice as possible before HT. Use antiscale compound and finish as fine as possible on the grinder.
Joe (Le taxi) is a bit of a dramaqueen.:D

Thanks for the tip Erik. Any tips on the forging side of things?
Cheers Keith

It forges much easier than it finishes. I have never seen it harden up like O1 can.

I love that knife Erik. The tapering of the leather flows beautifully with the handle and the color combinations are a beautiful touch. As always the design and ergonomics look spot on. I want to get one of your knives in my hands soon, even if just for a moment...
