i'd like to hear how the blade performs once reprofiled, there's a pretty insane thickness overal and ,more important, behind the bevels for such a small blade. i wonder what uses can command such a blade.
I think it's because all edge pictures are taken with daylight coming from the right hand side to show each scratch pattern at it's worst.
Most likely it's just the pattern the 6 micron diamond paste produces, but we will see as i still have 3 micron to go.
Currently busy with 3 micron diamond polishing paste (8000 grit) on the backside of the earlier used wet & dry paper; slowly but surely we're getting somewhere,
@ Maprik: it's just wet & dry sandpaper and you buy it in brick & mortar automotive shops or online shops for model cars, powerboats, helicopters, etc.
An average automotive shop here in the Netherlands carries wet & dry paper up to 2000 grit, but those online shops go further.
Well here is the edge that the Metro Tactical Flipper came with. CF says its 30 degree. I can't get it sharp really and I want to obtain a higher edge but can't do it with sypderco sharpmaker, any suggestions how much would the Entire wicked edge set up cost that Kwackster used? I have included two CFs to show the different edges that they were sent to me.
Ever hear those fearful words "lend uz' your knife, Mate?" Usually followed by either the sound of it hitting the ground (blade first) or some scrapping as it goes into a baked bean can!
