PLEASE NOTE: This is a prototype - It's solidly put together but I'm still working on the best options for the handle. This handle option is very likely what I'll use in the future. Head is cold blued, shaft is ferric chloride etched.
This is a 3-1/4" forge crushed steel ball MIG welded to a 5/8" bar. There is a 1-3/8" ball welded on the butt end as a stop. Handle is brass and copper wire wrap over leather.

Handle: 1-1/8" White oak with spiked leather thong
Weight: 2 pounds
The head has been ferric chloride etched, press fitted and pinned to the handle with two 3/16" bronze pins. The handle has been stained and polyurethaned. There is a 1/4" thong hole at the base of the handle and a short length of para-cord securing a leather thong with spikes.
