I was looking on the Bay and kept seeing ones listed as assisted opening. Are we talking about spring action, or just the wave feature? Anyone who has the full size version can you tell me if it is really fairly quick opening and closing with one hand?

Thanks.

No those are fake.. especially if you see the flipper protruding out the back.

Opening- very fast with the wave feature

Closing- easy and can be fast, but two handed.. one handed is possible, and what I usually do, but it is a bit more risky.. I depress the triad lock, and use my leg to start to close it, and then i pull my finger out of the way and use my leg to bring it down the rest of the way. YMMV

As far as I know there has never been an assisted opening CS AK-47. Hopefully, they were just misunderstanding the wave feature rather than being dishonest. Using the wave or the thumb plate it's quick to open, but I don't think any lockbacks (or Tri-Ad locks) are all that quick to close, especially one handed.

Thanks guys. These are the things I was trying to find out. One person on eBay is being honest by saying it is a knock off and I think it sounds like maybe spring assisted. Blade shows AK47 on it.

Hey I did a short review of the new G-10 AK47 a few months ago. I've carried mine every day since the day I brought it home from the PO, it has performed great! The wave opening is blistering fast and the Tri Ad lock is as tight today as it was on day one! Seriously this knife shows up for work and never quits. The only draw back that I have encountered is that the black blade coating started to wear after about two days of use...light use, like cutting cardboard. The Aus 8 holds its edge decently but is easy enough to touch up fast.

The only legitimate knives are the ones located on the official manufacturers websites. Always look at feedback when buying,it's a good idea.

You are sure right about that. Always checking feedback is very important but even with that you can sometimes get burned.
