CS Canadian Belt Knife

These knives are made in Taiwan , which has an economy akin to some european nations ,,, at the very least ,, they are not 3rd world.

so is my SOG and it is a DAMN FINE knife. Couldn't tell you about CS but as I understand it- there are only a FEW knife MANUFACTURES- that a company can bring their design to and have them create. I wouldn't be surprised if they were from the same MANUFAC.

I too- when there is a *choice* between 2 of the same product- opt for US made- however- I wouldn't refrain from buying something I needed simply because it is made overseas. -AND some people have to live on a tighter budget.

I have friends who taught English in Taiwan. From what they've told me and from what i've read Taiwan is more akin to a Mini-Japan!
Its definitely not a third world country.
Buying products from Taiwan is a lot different than buying from China proper.
Taiwan is independent, but of course the Chinese Gov't doesn't see it that way.
