Hi all,

I realize that knives don't usually get swapped across categories like this, but I'm in a funny situation: just bought the Lobo (that's the old name for Med. Vaquero) here on the forum, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It's slick, the Nogales recurved clip blade is fun, and it came new with a nice edge. I find the thumbstuds easy to flick right or left handed.

But here in a couple weeks I'm going to get a real job, and I just wasn't thinking about that when I bought it. By real job, I mean, I'm going to have to wear a suit every day and keep up appearances. It's a financial services job, so if potential client-sheeple think I'm a scary barbarian with a murderous jagged sword of death (even if it's only 3" long) and run away, then I go hungry.

So I'd like to swap for a more respectable-looking slipjoint, but at the same time, I'd like it to be a tough user. Poking around the archives, it looks like a Queen in D2 fits the bill. I may ask for one for a wedding present (19 more days! ), but I don't know if I can count on any of my friends for that.

Anyone interested? Got a good user Queen that you'd part with? I'm not picky about model, although more than one blade would be best, and I'm certainly not picky about scale material. Wood, bone, they're all nice.

The CS is in very good shape- no scratches on blade or handle, no horizontal play in blade, tiniest amount of vertical from lockback nature. I'll send it in the box.

Takers?

Ok, looks like I aimed too high. Even though there's a fairly high MSRP on the Lobo, I understand CS isn't terribly popular on the forums here. So let's compromise, how about this:

I just handled a Victorinox Soldier, and man, is it nice. The only thing I'd change is the can opener- love the reamer, but don't think I'll probably ever open a can with my knife. So other options in Alox scales are Electrician and Pioneer Rancher, to replace can opener with blades. Any takers now? (I'm open for other similar models too.) Thanks!
