How does it compare to your basic Mora? Anyone ever used this knife? Pics would be good.

Just snagged a Finn Bear off ebay for 12.50 and free shipping. Saved a couple bucks. For 12.50 what do you risk? I let you guys know how it does.

I have had one since they came out. They are a fine little knife. I don't really know if the 4116 Krupp holds an edge as well as the Mora's. I never let them get dull anyway.

I'd say you got nothing to lose there bro, perfect little stash knife for your kit !!!

I'm thinking about giving the Canadian Belt knife a try, I don't have any blades of that style and it would be a cheap way to give them a try....

I think I'll field test it with my Mora #1. That's the closest Mora I have that would compare in blade length to the Finn Bear.

I have one and it is pretty comparable in quality to the venerable Mora and as others have mentioned, there is hardly any risk at the asking price :) I used to own the Canadian Belt knife but just could not warm up to the thumb serrations......CS would do well to loose the saw teeth! They were sharp enough to cut wood and my thumb sure did not appreciate them.

I have Finn Bear and like it. I love the lines on the knife as well as the price. It holds an edge a lot like my M2K, which is to say, not as well as I'd like. It does get very sharp though!

My girlfriend snagged me a Finn Bear reasl cheap on Ebay. It's a nice practical little knife, good edge too, and I'll probably use it a bit to keep her happy. I prefer the Mora though, and the cost is about the same.

I have heard some unfavourable reviews on the belt knife, but arent they the same steel and everything?

Yeah, I was under the impression they were both that Krupps. Mind if I ask what unfavorable reviews you read about the canadian belt knife?

Yeah they're all 4116 Krupp (finn bear, roach belly, canadian belt knife, and the kudu).

I've had a Finn Bear for a little while now and its held up pretty well (I even batoned with it some with no ill effects). Great knife for the price:thumbup:

I used the Belt knife this year for deer season and it worked very well. I like the style of this knife and the steel held a good edge and was very easy to touch up when I was done. It is one of the best 10-15 dollar knives that I have used. This line of knives seems close to the Moras although the edge holding ability of the Mora is probably a bit better. I would be happy with either.
