CS knives you want upsized/downsized/modified

Alright alright, everyone calm down. Some of your wishes are being granted for 2021. :) Also, yes I do keep track of what people want and report on it, hence the return of the Mini Recon next year. There will also be a number of satin/stonewashed blades that we're working on.
Holy schmokes, you’re the real MVP man. If even one in ten of these wishes are granted, I’ll take it. Looking forward to the new products.

I'd like to see a Large Espada with a Griv-ex handle and thumb stud, that's as smooth to close as my Kris Voyager..

As the AUS10a seems to be performing well as a tough but inexpensive stainless, how about rolling it out to your cheaper fixed blades? I'd be interested in a Marauder Bowie in AUS10a, especially if you upgraded the front guard to a piece of metal (can keep the kray-ex subhilt).

I've also wanted the kukri in 3v for a long time.
Even a polypropelene guard and subhilt like the Tanto Lite would be an improvement!

1) Shortened and narrowed Natchez. Somewhere in the 9" blade range.

2) Ti-Lite Aluminum with the kris blade.

3) Master Tanto with an Outdoorsman style bone breaker top grind.

4) Upgraded Luzon - Put a Frenzy quality handle on it, metal clip, and soften the curves a little. Perhaps a Luzon style fixed blade would be awesome too, I love the profile of the blade.

A G10 Rajah 3 would be sensational. I used the extra three T-6 button-head screws to fix my AD-10, which came from Grand Prairie Knives missing a center screw by the lanyard hole. I emailed the vaunted customer service at Cold Steel, and they told me basically to send the knife in: not for twenty dollars shipping! Unfortunately, they carry no spare parts at the California center. Luckily, these Rajah screws were the same size, and thread-pattern. I like it, with the off-side being black.

Smaller black talon II around 8” overall would be a great EDC knife. In fact, if they make it in full stainless hardware and LC200N steel, it could be a very good water knife.
I’d honestly like to see existing Cold Steel folders in steels like LC200N, REX45, etc.

Cold steel is missing rust proof knife in their lineup. Many triad lock model can be easily converted. Just need rust proof hardware and LC200N blade steel.
Reference the Spyderco Siren, which is a linerless g10 backlock.

I want the Tiger Claw modified with the little scoop out in front of the thumb plate, so it deploys better out of pocket, like the Black Talon II. I might take it apart and give it a shot with the dremel.

I've made that mod to most of my "waved" Cold Steels. Dremel works. So does a file.

a trimmed down AD10 with Lawman sized, with actually 3.5" blade and 4.5" handle. The current AD10, is totally not medium sized with 5.25" handle.
(don't tell me to just go buy the lawman, it's completely different, comparing it to AD10 is silly).

This is good. Now I understand why Cold Steel has been dumbing down their knives and ruining classic models with fat edges and flat grinds. It's because the consumers don't know any better or care. No wonder we lost Talwars and Holdouts.
I also am mystified by the discontinuation of the Hold Out. Flat ground, but a thin edge and a great slicer. I m carrying a Hold Out 3 as an outdoor work knife now. Surprisingly capable for such a small knife, in part due to its thin grind.
I can appreciate the increased slicing ability of the hollow ground Recon 1 when compared to the flat ground. But I still think the flat grind might be an improvement for a hard use knife.
But I could be convinced otherwise!!
I can still put a thin edge on the flat ground blades. With patience .

If you offer a satin/stonewashed American Lawman you ll be printing money. The Recon 1 goes without saying.

I m very impressed with the changes in the texture of the g10 handles and the improvement in the disengagement of the triad lock.
