CS Kukri vs. HI Khukuri?

If you are clearing trails and its light springy stuff get the CS Khukuri machete or a good machete if however you are going to be regularly clearing saplings and larger start with a HI WWII or M43 model and work from there. You also have this little gem http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=768878 and this beast http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=768510
I keep going back to my light weight 24" standard machete's for the light work and the HI Khuk's for heavy chopping. I'm hoping that the reintroduction of the classic Bonecutter Khukuri gets me a near perfect balance.
If you can get and carry both or pass on the CS Khukuri machete and get a golok as Singularity suggested. I wouldn't want to clear a trail with my HI Khukuri's and I wouldn't want to build a cabin with my machete's. YMMV

bob124,

Are you serious?

You've brought back an 8 year old thread to answer the OP's question.

Necrothreadia at it's finest.

misque, agreed but a few of us followed blindly too. I think bob124 has learned not to Necropost.

I have used my CS Khukuri (the thick Carbon V one) for several years now and have subjected it to VERY hard use and it has served me well. I have used my CS khuk as my primary big chopper on a number of extended stays in the woods and i will attest first hand that the carbon V version is VERY well built.

Well this guy just want good information and comparison between CS and HI, better late than never!

And maybe useful information for other people.

I wonder what was his choice finally..
