I have seen many pictures of the new Cold Steel Triple Action Folder. I dont want to seem dumb

but does anyone know how this knife works ? I can not see any evidence of a liner lock or lockbade design. This knife also has a blade of AUS-10A steel, does anyone have any experience with this steel ?

Any information would be great, thanks

Dark,
Go to the dealer for sale section on the forum. A dealer is selling the Triple Action Folder and he has a detailed explanation on how it works. It's also at CS website:

Is this knife just a remake of the Case Blackie Collins design of a few years ago? Or are there changes other then size?

The new Cold Steel Triple Action Folder is a modified version of the old paratrooper knife. This version is a much better product than the current paratrooper style knives floating around now from Tawian, but in my personal opinion, as far as an easly accessible knife, (which I think is a requirement for any knife), the design really doesn't measure up.

I had the chance to handle one the other day at the store, They are NOT easy to open at all,the handle has a very stiff catch, the blade itself swings out easy enough, then you snap the first side back on. Its a one hand opening knife alright..Just dont be in a hurry to open it. It seems to be well made, but I decided to pass on it.

Keith,
How much were they charging for it at the store? Seems like it's kind of pricey.

Thank you all for the information and links. The dealer had a great description on how the knife works, but it was especially nice to hear a dealer tell the pros and cons of a knife. He also agreed with Kdarmy that this would not be a knife to carry if a speedy opening is required

I'm still going to pick one up for kicks. When I get it, I'll post how it performs.

Thanks again.

how the action works for you. Separate the two halves of

the advantage of not looking like a knife when it's

Gregg,
The price was 72.50, which is better than most, but still not worth the price to me. It just seemed to be more of a novelty knife to me than anything.
