I want to repalce my CS vietnam hawk wood haft with METAL!

any ideas for going about this? so it does'nt move, rattle etc.....I do have access to a lathe.....
 
i think i'm inclined to agree,............ too much work fussing around witht he CS, i'll leave it as is ...
