I have a Cold Steel and a Spyderco in XHP. They are both great knives.
They do act differently, the CS seems to dull a little sooner and gets tiny dings at the edge when cutting cardboard.
Of course my observations are not science, I may be all wet.
Just a shot in the dark here but, does anyone know the hardness of these blades for each of them?

I have a knife made out of this steel. It's okay. I think it looses its "fine" edge, for a lack of a better term, quickly. But, it will hold the working edge as long as a premium steel should. I don't think it's much better than conventional D2. All in all, it's just another product alongside dozens of other similar products. Meh, it's not a steel I would request in a custom. Pay 15% less and choose conventional D2.

I think CS targets theirs at 60-61. Personally, I basically lump it in with S30V and S35VN as I doubt I could distinguish much difference between the three without doing a LOT of cutting. All are very good all around stainless options.
