m2, w1, w2, vascowear, 20-cv, cpm1v, hitachi blue super steel, all fit that description, but i doubt any of them are what they use (though i know little about 20-cv).

also - anything can be broken. if it seems like it cant be, you just arent trying hard enough (and may have to build something to help you)

20-CV is great steel. Microtech used it on their LCCs (and maybe some other ones) when S30V was short. I love it on my LCC. Seems to have very slightly less edge retention than S30V, but sharpens easier.
No idea what the Dork Ops stuff is though.
