My brothers Cuda has to much blade play for me and I was wondering if there is a kit that I can get to replace the washers in this. It the the 154CM version. I have taken it apart and tightened the screws and it is still has to much wabble.
Thanks Bucky, I may have to go that route. I still have not gotten a response from the Camillus customer support or from a moderator here. I miss the days Will was running things.
Got the brass washers from knifekits, (thanks BuckyKatt), and the knife has been delivered back to the brother-in-law freshly cleaned and shaving sharp. The 154CM on there taked a wicked edge and you can then strop it to a mirror finish. All in all a great knife and the folks at knifekits were very helpfull in getting me the correct size. I even got an extra set for future needs.
That's awesome, I never knew these guys were around till just now. Gonna replace all the nylatron (hate the stuff whether I run them dry or with any manner of lube they're always sticky feeling) on my benchmades with PB ones. Need to find my feeler gauge, I think the stock washers are .02 but better safe than sorry.
I'd definately go with the replacements from knifekits. The nylatron washers were practically non existant, well, I think that is what they were. They were the white washers. No matter now, with the new washers in place, no blade play and the action is SMMMMMMOOOOOth.
Ahhh, teflon. Not good either Sitting here on the forums while I am stuck in Yuma Colorado in the fabulous Nelson Inn, my sister emails to say that brother in law cut the crap outta himself with his "new" Cuda EDC.
Maybe the mirror polish was going to far....................
