Has anyone gotten a Case CV Chestnut peanut where the main blade isn't proud? I've ordered 2 recently (one's a 2016, I forgot to look at the date on the other) and both have proud tips. I really want a CV chestnut, but I don't want to order several to find one good one and return the rest.

Ive got a dumb question, what is a "proud" tip or back spring ?

I believe that it is Delrin. If I'm not mistaking, the bone models had the word "Case" circled on the shield. -Lance

Thanks wurrwolf. Very cool. I bring my sak to work with me, but i only use the tools, my coworker does occasionally use the blade though. After work and on weekends the peanut is all i carry, unless camping/ hiking

I never get tired of seeing those Peanuts! Mine is my most-carried pocket knife by far. It's often been a partner to a second knife over the 4 years I've owned it, but it's had more pocket time than any other knife I own.

I'm a big fan of snap on tools. And an even bigger fan of the mighty little peanut. It handles 99% of my cutting needs.
