Cult of the peanut , members

No doubts Carl, none whatsoever. This peanut never let me down before, and that is why I choose it and took it all alone. knowing from before that it will do anything I might need, no questions asked.
True beauty indeed, and I got to be a cult member years ago, because of your stories and the whole kindly atmosphere around these parts, so many deep thanks to all.

Sounds like you had a good holiday.
Thanks to you for being inspired to start this thread.
Many thanks to J jackknife for all his wonderful stories.

Finally vacation time with the family. Enjoying the great out doors in the ouachita mountains in southeast Oklahoma. Never been here before and what a beautiful place. Got my trusty peanut in pocket ready to do some fishing and hiking tomorrow.
Mike just over the Arkansas line is the Cossatot River area. Gorgeous scenery and great camping. Hope you have a great vacation.

I might have to check it out. We are enjoying it here so much. Can't wait to see more tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

I just was out bid on a rediculously nice Damascus peanut. I have been happy with my cv nut but the Damascus was wonderful. I planned to carry and use the beauty. I hope the winner loves it!

Check back in some time, after some use, to compare the steels perhaps, Case CV vs Case Damascus. And yeah, congrats :D

I took my girls fishing this morning off a bridge over a local bayou. We were using my peanut to trim lines and cut bait. It slid off railing, hit my foot and fell off the bridge into the water! Murky and 10 feet deep. Fish were not biting so I am home to find a big magnet and see if the peanut can be recovered. Wish me luck!

AAHHHH!

Go to Home Depot and get the biggest magnet they have and a roll of twine and start recovery operations. I'm praying for you and the lost legume!!!!

I know how you feel. Several years ago, my better half and I were drift fishing in the Potomac river from our canoe. Karen reached over the side to rinse off my pocket knife that she'd cut some bait with and it slipped right out of her hand. My Victorinox recruit was lost at sea. But a Victorinox recruit is not as dear as a peanut, so my grief was not as profound as yours may be. Try the magnet brother. Good luck.

It has been a blast reading this thread. What stands out is this: the peanut enjoys advantages often overlooked and unappreciated by the masses. Diminutive in stature and unassuming, possessing the quiet confidence of a champion the legume travels his own path. A confidence grounded in wisdom that “less is more”.

The “case” of the peanut parallels many of life’s lessons. With age we simplify. Our philosophy now patinated, we arrive at conclusions heretofore hidden. There is a discernment that comes with experience that brings us full circle.

To understand the peanut…. is to finally arrive.

I would be humbly grateful to be allowed in to the Cult of the Peanut.fullsizeoutput_5bb.jpeg
