As much as I love the compression, ball and other locking feats of engineering that Spyderco comes up with, I'm still very much in love with their modern interpretations of the classic slip joint. Particularly the one handed models with a pocket clip.

The Urban K390 is the only one I own currently and is my most carried knife. I'll be adding an S110V UKPK to the collection soon.

It may just be the combination of one handed operation and the nostalgia of closing the blade with the back of my leg while working, but I do genuinely love these little knives. We don't need no stinkin' lock!

Please post your favorite SLIPITS. Especially interested in some of the older models like the Terzoula. Hopefully we'll see some more in the future.

I always wanted a Ti UKPK, but never bought one as I thought they were overpriced. Now I wish I had

I do use the wharncliffe urban with an orange G10 handle all the time. Its in my desk at work and sees any number of office type tasks

I have the Titanium UKPK, as well as a g10 leaf blade in orange, also two models in sage green g10, one drop point the other a leaf blade, the only one that's a user.
Now that there's a crackdown on flippers and so called gravity knives that customs deems a weapon, hopefully these will be legal carry in the future. I forgot, I do also have a untouched Terzoula in my Spydie pac's as well.
I do find that all this time, the UKPK is my most carried edc along with a Caly3

Roadie and a spy-dk for me, thinking hard on that slippie lil-native. For me pen knives are great because I can carry pretty well anytime, where as anything locking needs an excuse. Not hard to find one, but still, its nice to have.

I definitively have a weak spot for UKPKs :) As I live in Germany, they have been my #1 EDC for the last 4 years. I'm so glad that Spyderco thinks of us knife nuts here in Europe and gives us some decent EDC choices. The UKPK is kind of my all-time favourite, as it has such a useful blade shape and has great ergos. I don't even notice the "missing lock" in my daily life. It's such a well thought out design. Thank you, Sal!

I currently own 6 UKPKs. While the Ti versions are my favorites from a knife nut point of view, the FRN models get the most pocket time as they are so light and carry so easily.

PS: Looking at my picture above , I noticed that I have to get two more so I can lay out the complete spyder pattern...

Here's some pics of my slip-its that I've uploaded over time:

The Urban and UKPK are two of my all-time favorite Spyderco models. I've gifted away 4 of the older saber ground UKPKs and now only have 2, the s110v and a franken-PK I made with a ffg BD1 blade and a set of maroon scales from an older model.

I also recently picked up two pingos, in orange and black, as well as an orange SPY-DK. They were great deals once they hit the discontinued list. The Pingo especially really impressed me, I like the design a lot more than expected. The DK is also cool, but I haven't carried it yet.

I guess I'm a cult member. :D

I currently own 3 Spyderco Slipits.

I carry them quite often as we have obscure knife laws in Germany.
For expample, you are not allowed to carry a knife (in public) that can be opened one handed and that locks the blade. Unless you have a "special reason" (nobody doesn't exactly know or has specified what reason that might be...)
One handed opening without a locking blade is no problem, as well as two handed opening with a locking blade:D
But usually i don´t care and carry just what i want.:p

Same here, living in Germany as well... So after the k390 pingo my titanium pingo is to arrive soon.
Currently carrying the k390 urban and I can see a s110v ukpk in my future ;)

I have and love my urban in k390. I don’t have any legal necessity to carry a smaller slip joint, but it’s so lightweight and handy that I can’t seem to carry the bigger knives for every day tasks

I know what your saying. I have everything from Sebenzas to the newest titanium,Carbon fiber whiz bang knife, and as I said before,my UKPK gets the most carry. Before I even started collecting knives, all I carried was an old timer or Victorinox of some sort.
I really didn't know there were such a thing as Spyderco,Benchmade etc. o_O I discovered this whole new addiction once I happened upon
Blade Forums.

Here's a quick picture of my collection.

I quite like the slipits. Light, great designs, inexpensive, and classy. I enjoy the Urbans and Roadie the most in my small collection.
