Well congrats to everyone who got one.....no love here yet. Nice pictures guys...like the rivests on these, nice a flared/fat. Very cool.
 
Jerry has been know to have name a knife contests. You submit names for a new blade he comes up with, if he pics the name, you get a free one. So far Hammy has 2 to his credit, Heavy has one and I can't recall all the past ones. I was a runner up once, but can't remember when or with what name. If Ed is lurking, I'd be hitting Jerry up for a free blade. :)

Cleaner/Lubricant/Protectant, good oil I use on my guns and some knifes.

Soap and water will get some shop dust or anything else off of micarta.

If I oil my scales I use mineral oil, but any oil will do. Oil brings out the color and will make darker.
If you don't like the look a little soap and water will take the oil right off

I havn't oiled any of my scales in a while though, like the dry look lately

I was a runner up with "Ghost Skinner", but Heavy beat me with "Hell Razor" :rolleyes::p:D
I'm still hopeful.:thumbup:

Just like Ken said, CLP is a military gun lubricant/cleaner that I use quite a lot. Mineral Oil actually works better for micarta but I don't have any right now. My Cultellus still had some buffing compound and dust on it so I just washed it off and then oiled it up.

I love CLP for my guns, but I would recommend something else for your blades. Mineral oil is non-toxic and nearly odorless. CLP is funky smelling and I am sure it tastes nasty.
