Cumberland Knives- what's the deal with them. recently I ordered a knife from them, about 4 days ago, and did not leave my email address. I emailed their customer service to get the address to them. I also asked a question about the particular knife I purchased, whether in stock or not. Well, its been about 4 days, and no response to my queries.

I am naturally impatient, so this may not seem like a long time, but all I want to know is that they got my email.

I did a check on GB&U and found mixed reviews.

what to do?

I was informed that the knife was due to be recieved from cumberland's suppliers on May 16 in the afternoon, and would ship on the 17. Here it is, the 20th, and no knife in the mailbox. I paid for USPS priority mail, so even if it shipped on the 18th, it should've been here today. if it didn't arrive at cumberland from the suppliers on monday, or at all, shouldn't I have been notified?

it's my fault, for not researching this further before ordering, but like i said, I really wanted that knife. now it seems I'm out a knife and $120.

Well their website is not current.

I got excited because I saw a BM 722BT up there and when I emailed them I got this response "we no longer have that model please choose another item".

I just wish the site was current. I have since become excited about 2 other knives on their site only to find out that they are not there either.

After reading other mixed reviews about them.......I have decided not to buy from them. Good communication is a must when ordering over the internet.

I've read your posting on the forum and processed a refund for your order. I will investigate the whereabouts of this shipment and try to retrieve it. I wish you had refrained from public posting to see what we might be able to do to work this out for you. Anyway, no hard feelings.

no hard feelings either, but I find the people on this forum are very reliable, and trustworthy, and I value their opinons and input.

I wish things had worked out but sometimes they don't.
