Hello everyone, Grant Cunningham here- new to BladeForums but not to the industry... After making Scagel style fixed-blades alongside James Behring at Behring Made in Missoula for a decade (2012-23), I thought I'd had my fair share of making knives. I spent most of that next year helping a buddy with operations at his brewery in Washington, did some marketing for a small running shop in Montana, and finally had a stint at the American Shooting Journal where they wanted help expanding their knife coverage. It took me about three weeks of talking shop to really miss being in one, so I decided to get back in the game for myself with some fresh perspective. I'd made good friends with Chris Amos and Jason Keen over several years at the Blade Show and they had always left the door open to visit at their shops and learn a thing or two in Wyoming. I took advantage of the offer this last winter and wound up staying for five months beyond the intended several weeks we'd discussed- so it goes. I had the fortune to also shadow Ed Fowler in those months and learned a great deal. Regardless of his opinions (or one's opinions of his opinions) he was a great teacher that encouraged me to find truths, pursue the answers to my own questions with trial and error, and establish my own standards. Since January, I've taking the bull by the horns and jumped in full time. As of June, I relocated back to Eugene, OR (my hometown) and we're off to a fine start. I'm thirty seven knives in this year and about to get another batch rolling. It's been wild and I'm looking forward to branching into the online community here as well as with some of the maker's local here in Oregon. Yes I am here to sell, but also to learn, grow and make positive connections. I've been enjoying shaking things up from what I've been making in the past- particularly using Damascus, making kitchen knives, and/or full tang options. At this point I'm making whatever I feel at the time as I refine what will become my honed pursuits. I'm sourcing my billets from Alabama Damascus right now, while my hard use knives are forged to shape from 2" 5160 John Deere load control shafts. You can check out my website for the archive thus far and the few I have still available, and here's a few group shots to tease. www.cunninghamcustomshop.com

Thanks y'all!

Welcome, Grant. I'm sure I'm not the first to ask...are you related to the Grant Cunningham who wrote several books on revolvers? Couldn't help but notice.
I've seen the books you are talking about, but not the same Grant Cunningham. For what it's worth, I *am* a revolver guy though!

Welcome nice work on those above......I can see Fowler and Behring influences with a spin all your own👍👍👍.....
