I have only been looking at this forum for a little over a year, so I can't comment on how many women watch this forum. Regardless, a woman can use a black handled knife or even blue without any issues and of course, pink. A man can use black or blue, but if he arms himself with a pink knife, he loses his man card, permanently!! :)

On the plus side, should he ever have to use his pretty pink with unicorns on top blade for self defense, he would get off due to the police feeling sorry for him and/or the jury laughing. I guess it's a win/win, screw it it, bring on the pink!! (not really :))

haha, to look at me you would never ever think I'd like pink, but this is exactly what I have been waiting for :) I have many other color combos and this will allow me my guilty pleasure color. Thank goodness there are so many different options available in general, something for everyone. The hubby will carry my pink knives, he is cool with it. I Don't think anyone will take his man card from him :D plus this opens up a whole new world for you guys, get the ladies involved with your passion for these amazing knives. Especially the AMS, what a thoughtful anniversary gift that would be. I am thankful that this is just one more thing that Jody and I enjoy together.

I cringe at how this could go sideways and will refrain from posting anymore in this thread if (when) I am drinking. Um, I'll stop there.;):D

I for one am glad to see more women participating in the forums. I think it makes it just that much more inviting. I think there are alot of women who use knives and hopefully more will become involved here after seeing that this is a forum where women are welcome. There are so many forums that seem to be just a guys club and women do not feel welcome. It is really great to see that we are getting more husband/wife combos that have found a mutual enjoyment of knives.

There are a few of you out there who may remember when this forum was a free for all, before the "family friendly" days. I think it's worth giving up the pee your pants lol comedy that used to happen around here to be able to share with your family.
Back to the knives, the bone handles are extremely comfortable for long term use like woodcraft, particularly carving. And the pink will be hard to lose when you set it down.

I was wary about joining this forum when the hubby told me about it for a few reasons but mainly because I felt it was a "man's world" type of thing. I was and am very appreciative of the warm welcome I received and continue to receive here. I am happy to be a part of this world. Everyone is helpful and it really is a fun place to hang out. I have learned so much here and feel that I have acquired some good friends here.

SueZQ,
It really has been our pleasure having you here. The forum is better place for it. You are a shining example of what a true Hogette really is.

We can do some laser engraving for the guys who are uneasy about the pink..like "real men wear pink?" Like the T-shirt!

Yeah, we just save that for the shows when we're hanging out. Still haven't laughed as hard as I did outside Jock's and Jills in a long time :D

Glad you are around. You are wonderful to chat with and this truly is a family forum :)

Pink used to be for boys back in the early 1900s. Just FYI.

I dig these knives. The pink looks great with satin.
