Here's the little skinner from a few days ago and Curly. Curly is the one with the piercing. Both blades were forged from the same saw steel but two different boards of curly maple. Curly came from a chunk of instrumental grade. Curly has a 4 1/2" blade and just under 9 1/2" overall. I also used wagon wheel wrought iron for the fittings on Curly.

I guess the dye-job was the right thing to do, eh?

That's a wonderful knife, Ray! The contour of the handle with more of the dogleg takes the style up even another notch. :thumbup:

I like it with the nipple ring better, too!

Thats right! I forgot there were 4 of them. I always think of them as the 3 Stoges. Thats means I'll have to forge another blade. There's always room for more.

Mike, I think Curly looks more like Curly with a dye job......

I was hoping to get working on Larry or Shemp yesterday but I was having a hard time trying to focus. They may be larger blades but I really like the shape of Curly's handle. OK, Larry will be next but Shemp could be a sub hilt.
