Current EDC Rotation Stable

My stable of carry knives. I usually take two of them.

On knife that has been in my rotation, but I didn't have it for the picture as I sent it to my bud RiverRat84 to check out, is the ZT0560. This is one of my most profound knives. I say this because of the value. Pound for Pound (value for the $), this is by far the best knife I've ever had. It is designed and built like a knife costing many times what you can get them for. I picked mine up BNIP (on BF!) for $200. Honestly, I am blown away by the design and quality.. at any price point. Bearing and race pivot is ridiculous! (in a great way!) I urge everyone to at least try one... I would think you'd marvel over it too.
Mick

Note: I'd like to qualify this with the point that the 0560 is not a better knife (doesn't even come close) to the Bodega, and some others in my rotation... but what you get (value) for your money.. far exceeds anything I've experienced.

What do you guys rotate through?

Its generally something like this:

Kershaw Leek > Emerson CQC-13 CE > SOG Flash I > CRKT Ripple > Spyderco Endura > Buck Vantage S30V > CRK Umnumzaan > Kershaw Knockout > Spyderco Ulize. I throw in a few others just to keep myself off balance, and often don't make it through the day without changing knives.

Spyderco Ulize.

Wow, you really mix up your rotation from a size perspective. From the thin and almost transparent Leek, to the bold and ever present Zaan! Cheers mate!

I do think its a borderline mental disease. EDC schizophrenia. When I carry a teeny knife, I think "what if there's a car wreck and I have to pry the door open" or "what if I have to field dress a mastodon?", so I switch over to a CQC-8 or whatever. And after carrying that a while, I think "why on earth am I carrying a big, heavy knife when all I realistically need is a little 2" blade"? And so it goes. Always searching for the happy place.

Fun thread. My EDC rotation switches between urban office carry (four days a week) and rural carry (three days a week).

7. Benchmade 810 (Contego)

You do like big knives! Hey, the 551... do you find that hard to deploy? I had one a it was extremely tight. Then I got the 550, same thing. Now I have a 0560, and I'm in heaven with it. I would've included in my EDC stable, but I sent it to a buddy (RiverRat84) to check out for a couple weeks. Perhaps I just got tough ones? My 560 has the same steel (Elmax) as your 551. How do you like the Elmax? I find it holds an edge pretty well, and sharpens up wicked sharp pretty easily.

Hey, I believe the Tuco has the bearing type pivot (IKBS), yes? I love that pivot system. My Bodega has it, and it's such a pleasure deploying it.

I've had two 551s now and two 550s and found them all to be smooth as butter!! I only have the one 551 currently and found that as I've tried Hinderers, Sebenzas and other very high end folders the ZT 550/551 models are just about perfect in my hand!! I'm even having a custom CF scale made for the "little" beauty!!
