Which handle material do you prefer on your Swamp Rat knives?

I voted Micarta.
Great stuff for a user like a Rat, and it feels a bit more natural then G10.. I like the heavy canvas :thumbup:

My favorite swamp handle was micarta, but my least favorite swamp handle was also micarta. Hmm. Since it was the res c handles that really made the swamp "The Swamp", I'll vote that way. :cool:

I voted Res-C. I would love to have one of the black Camp Tramps again. I quit buying Swamp Rat when they went to the new design with Micarta. I do like micarta on most production knives, but not Swamp Rats.
 
I like the micarta or woods - but I do not like the current design. Just an old schooler for sure - but give me the old handle style ( a little fatter perhaps ...... or just give me that old time Res-C !! :)

Speaking of Camp Tramps...:D

This has been a great poll folks. 108 voters so far!!! Not too shabby for a forum that doesn't see nearly as much dialogue as the Busse forum does.
 
Res-C SR/101 and my favorite handle design is the "Mudder" although I would like to see a larger mudder handle as well.
 
It would be interesting to know how many people who are voting have actually handled the Res-C handles? I think that information should be worked into the results somehow.

I have, and really am trying to nail down a Camp Tramp to go with my Howling Rat before they are all gone. The Res-C is one of the most comfortable handle materials I have used yet.
 
I've only had experience handlin' the canvas Micarta ones but than again I've only owned some Busse fer a day so based on my current experience defiantly go for the Micarta, (now I'll whisper the next part so someone here can't hear me) at least until the next time, I can see this becominin' an illness.

I might look fer a cure someday maybe,......maybe not, It's not an addiction till someone else points it out to ya, right?

Micarta by far.

Besides, I am allergic to latex, so I suspect the Res-C would be a problem for me to handle.
 
One more vote for micarta. The Swamp should release another run of the old-school Ratweilers!
 
I have a Battle Rat with a Res-c handle,would'nt change it.That said,Ialso like the other handle materials.Micarta is one of my favs.
 
I tend to get blisters from the Res-C that I do not get from Micarta. I know, not normal, but micarta is better for me...
