Hey guys.
Looking for a new, lower priced, EDC pocket knife.
I am a huge history buff and for better or for worse, that usually sways my designs when buying things.

Other than what I mentioned in the title, are there any other current production carry knife models that have history?
If it has military history (specifically US) even better!

Even if you have a suggestion that only partially relates to this I would appreciate it!
Just looking for something new.

Thanks.

Off the top of my head I can think of the French Douk-Douk and the Corsican vendetta knife. Maybe the traditional forum would have more suggestions for US historical knives.

Congress-pattern traditional. You can find some older Case models if you look around.

Lincoln had a six (I think?) blade Congress pattern in his pocket the night he was assassinated, so it's got some history.

Most traditional patterns have deep histories and digging into them and participating in them in some way is a good reason to study and carry traditional patterns.

The Barlow pattern and stockman pattern have special places in US history I think.

If you're looking for military pocket knives, you might look at the "demo knife" (a stainless scaled version of the 4 blade camper pattern aka boy scout knife), the TL-29 Electrician knife and the sailor's knife with marlin spike.

You'll probably get a richer set of responses asking in the traditional forum.

Awesome, thanks!
Those are exactly what I'm talking about. Especially the military knives you mentioned.
