Just got this fighter in from Curt, then out to Coop and back after he performed his magic.

Curt's new maker's mark (this knife represents it's first use) commemorates his final move to St George, Utah.

Elephant ivory, 5 1/2" blade, red liners (only really visible when actually holding the fighter).

EDIT: On page two of this thread are three Erickson fighters shown for comparison - 4 1/2" blade, 5 1/2" blade and 6 1/2 " blade. An afterthought posting.

WOW!!! That is just...... WOW!!! Spectacular!! Congrats!! Thanks for sharing that beautiful knife with us.

Very elegant and the definition of clean fit/finish.
Great grinds and I really like Curt's new mark.

man, that is just fantastic. Bob, I would SO love to come by for a visit one day:)

Bob,

That's a beautiful knife, very clean. Coop did a super job of showing off that great ivory.

Exactly the way such a knife should be, Bob! Amazing!
Perfect elegance...

All the best,

It's like my jaw drops to the floor and I'm thinking say something meaningful- Wow!

Thanks for sharing it.

The cool thing about harder lighting is how distinct it makes shapes. In this case the ivory and the grinds LOVE the look. Because of this, what is not apparent is the subtle (600 grit?) hand rubbed blade flats with the highly polished bevels.

It's a beautiful piece, and as you have all discovered, Bob knows his quality and acquires the 'creme de la creme' pieces. :D

What a treat!

Coop

There's nothing about that fighter that isn't perfect! Congratulations on being the proud owner of that beauty.

WOW :eek::eek:

That is the epitome of CLEAN and elegant.

Congratulations Bob. Great addition to your collection!

Peter

Hi Kevin-

Curt and Julie have only one more on their schedule, I think, and it's the AKI. They have had a lot on their plate this year and something had to give.

If I get the chance with this thread, I think I might post four consecutive images (Coop's, naturally) which compare variations of the fighter, but using Curt's same basic platform.

Thanks, guys, yeah I really like the way it came out.
