Up for sale today is a USED Curtiss F3 Medium Wharny in a standard configuration. I bought this knife new from a member of BF. It comes with the original receipt ($650) and its DOB card from Dave. I carried this knife and used it for light cutting tasks, boxes, tape,...
There are 2 areas that should be noted. The pocket clip at the very tip has a slight "scratch" "rub" mark (It is hard to see). Second, the knife HAS BEEN SHARPENED! By me! I am not a professional by any stretch, but it came sadly dull and I couldn't deal with it. It was sharpened to 20DPS on a KME from the 100Grit-1500Grit. It isn't perfect, in the close up blade photo you can see where near the choil, the blades bevel isn't perfect (1/2" OAL maybe) because the edge is thin and the choil is much fatter.
If you need this knife to be perfect, please dont buy it unless you will sharpen it yourself, or send it back to Dave. That being said the rest of my bevel is even, I was careful to sharpen each side equally.
That being said, the rest of the knife is in excellent condition, I do not see any scratches on any surface, all screws have never been touched. Action is A+!
Selling because I keep going smaller, so I am going to get an F3 Compact.
