Here is my Assault Flipper. Blade is .160" CPM154 and heat treated to 61RC. The frames are .160" TAC-Ti in my diamond pattern. The whole knife has a blast finish. The knife incorporates an internal stop pin and our new bearing pivot system that uses 14 balls per side. Really trick pivot. The knife is 8 3/4" OAL with a blade length of 4". $495.00 plus shipping. Just say "I'll take it". Paypal is sales@greatlakeswaterjetinc.com and e-mail is david@greatlakeswaterjetinc.com Thanks for looking.:D This one is SPF.

I see you have found a good use for that diamond pattern Ti....sweet!! Very innovative!
I will be calling you soon with a special order.

Thanks Brad. I had 5 of these at the show and sold 3 Friday. I'm keeping 1. I love messing with the Ti

This showed up today (delay due to a bit of a SNAFU on my part regarding payment amount... :o ) and I'm extremely impressed with it. Basically it's a tank, but kind of a civilian tank with plush interior and a nice sound system. :D Very smooth operation, and although I suppose only time will tell, it does not feel like it'll be wearing at all on the pocket or waistband, which I was wondering if it might. Every single edge on this knife (except the cutting edge, of course) is soft and radiused. No sharp corners for the fingers, and nothing to snag when drawing it. The flipping action takes a little persuasion but it's just tight. I'm sure as it works in--and as I get a feel for it--it'll be popping out every time in short order. Lots of room-for-wear on the lock, and not the barest hint of wiggle anywhere.

It's a big knife, no doubt, but not unrealistically so. I wanted to show it in comparison to a knife that is fairly well known so people could get an idea of it, so I chose the larger Spyderco Manix. The Manix is a tad longer overall and noticeably wider when closed. I dearly love both sizes of Manix but will admit that the width is what drove me away from carrying one every day. Great for cutting but it blocked the entire top of most pockets, and if a particular belt loop was in the wrong place on a given pair of pants, waistband carry wasn't always much better. David's design lets me get down to my keys without removing the knife. As far as the thickness (to the outside of the scales) it's about 1/32" thicker than the Manix. Really, the only part that is noticeably bigger on the Curtis knife is the pocket clip. My first reaction was that it's on the big side, but it doesn't get in the way of gripping the knife at all, and again has nicely radiused edges.

So, after a few hours of loving on it I'm very pleased. I'm looking forward to packing it along this upcoming week, and seeing if it's as comfortable to carry as it seems like it'll be. Outstanding workmanship throughout in terms of consistency of grinds, fit and finish, etc. Many thanks, David
