Cuscadi sales-customer service

Hey guys, I've just recently placed an order for some custom scales from Cuscadi. I'm hoping to get some input on others who have ordered from him. I hear wonderful things about Luke and what he does, and I don't doubt for a second that when they do come in, they will be top notch. But I'm getting a little worried here...

We sent a couple of emails back and forth and settled on price, style, color, all of it. He sent me the paypal payment request, and I confirmed and paypal has confirmed that payment has been sent. Everything up to that point has gone swimmingly. He responded quick, politely, and overall professionally. However, the payment was sent on thursday, and I haven't received any correspondence from him. I've since sent him 2 emails asking if he got payment, and if everything is ok. I figured since it was the weekend he was just taking a break or something...but I still haven't heard from him.

I wouldn't be so agitated if I hadn't already sent payment...If this happened before that, I would just accept the fact that he is a busy man and will get to his emails on his time. But I at least need a "hey, got your payment, will start work now" or something along those lines. What do you guys think? Anything like this happened to you when dealing with Luke? Try to talk me down here...I don't like sending money to people so willy nilly. Luke is a legitimate business, so I know this will work out. I think.
 
Were the repeated back and forth emails somehow insufficient? You have evidence that you paid so what is the problem? The guy has work to do and doesn't want to play email tag all day. Being relatively new here, you really should try and search through the forums and see what has already been discussed. Why do you need to be talked down?
 
I have ordered several times from Luke. Sometimes it takes days for him to respond to emails. The last time I ordered from him he didn't email me back until my order was shipped, roughly 6 days. Luke is good to go so I wouldn't worry at all.
 
I have seen what has already been discussed. I spent all day searching "cuscadi" through the forums. I apologize that this was in the wrong section also.

I have never sent my money to someone via paypal, especially not on a whim from an email, to a guy in germany. I know he's respectable and has a good reputation, I just figured that this forum was a good place for conversation, and since I'm a bit nervous, I asked a question. I apologize and will take my concerns elsewhere, and will only conduct myself in a professional manner and offer no personal feelings in posts.
 
Don't worry man. When I ordered mine I think communication was quiet for a couple weeks and then I got my scales. Like rocled said, you are in good hands.
 
Ordered a couple of different times from Cuscadi... never had an issue with either the product or the customer service.
 
Gotcha. I'll be more patient then. Got my first knife, now I'm getting scales for it. I've never ordered anything online other than from well known businesses, so the slow communication is just foreign is all. (Get it...foreign...Germany? heh) I'll be sure to post pictures of the sexiness when I get them :) (which forum section should I post the pics in? for future reference.) >_>
 
Bought many sets of custom scales and complete knives from Luke. You do not need to be concerned, if he burned you i would give your money back myself!
 
I ordered custom scales from cuscadi for my mule. Daily e-mail interplay is not their forte, but the scales are. The service is fairly quick assuming you don't run into issues with customs if you are sending an actual blade to Germany. They are very professional and no need to worry.

My experience with Cuscadi is that they delivered exactly as promised. I was very impressed with the whole experience from start to finish.
I wouldn't worry, they will take care of you.
 
Purchased three sets of scales at different times from CUSCADI and Luke is top-notch!! You will be satisfied when the order arrives.....it just takes time and communication can be spotty across the big pond!!
 
I bought scales from Luke only once and considering his job as well as communications with him are outstanding. He always replied within a day, sometimes even on weekends. Always nice, polite and professional. Keep in the mind that in addition to work he is full time student. I can only wish that all makers had the same level of communication.
