Cuscadi Scales

you can't get a price because material/thickness/color have not been ironed out

The problem is that there is no place that I know of that you can see what the available options are so I have to guess what is available then send an e-mail and get the reply that it is unavailable. Start again and hope my combination of materials is available. It is such a low tech approach and IMO not customer friendly.

I have been trying for days now just trying to get some idea of the price structure.

ha ha, yeah, it went about the same for me. at one point i thought he had forgotten about me so i wrote them off. a while later i got an email with a picture asking if these looked good to me. i did end up buying them though!

If you're not happy with the way Cuscadi is treating you, take your business elsewhere. No need to post every bit of communication with them (or lack thereof). It's obvious from every post you made you are dissatisfied with them, so I really don't understand why you are giving yourself grief dealing with them still.

Perhaps if there is enough discussion and somehow Cuscadi becomes aware they will improve the process and benefit everyone. The other point is this is a forum where people discuss knife related issues. I see this as a knife related issue that on second thought perhaps belongs in the Good the Bad and the Ugly.

Last point. I really am looking for an alternative to Wilkins Grips hence the tolerating of grief.

In that case, cut them some slack. They are worth it. Anyone who's bought their stuff will tell you so.

I have been buying their stuff for years, Luke is one of the nicest guys I know in the business. His father is a true genius, he did some great custom jobs for me.
Price-wise, you will find them cheaper than Wilkins.

After reading this thread I figured, my interest was perked because they are supposed to be cheaper than Wilkinsgrips. I checked out what Cuscadi offers for Griptilians. I'm really impressed with what I saw and these look amazing. Once I set aside some funds, I'm going to get me these for my 551BKD2.

They have very different designs, the CSDs are closer to the original Grip shape, the Wilkins are bigger.

Final update. Luke did get back to me and was quite nice. I did however find the process cumbersome and time consuming. I appreciate all the feedback and I have no issue with Luke or Cuscadi. I just think a simple drop down menu with available options would be more customer friendly.

The fact that Moore Cutlery has the Mini G10 with Black aluminum back spacer on sale for $110 pushed be toward the WilkinsGrip.

I am going to put them on the GP Knives M390 BM 556
