Custom 0560 Upgrades

Just throwing the idea out that I think there would be many 0560 owners that would buy custom titanium standoffs and titanium liner to mod their knives. I would buy two sets of each!!

Oh ya. I thought it was Ti?

I saw Ti frame replacements for the G-10 side of Rick Hinderer's customs. I think a front in Ti that matched the back might be cool. But expensive.

If you could get different colored anodized Ti parts that would be cool. The standoffs would be easiest n cheapest to make.
 
The 0560 standoffs appear to have the screws threaded into them. It may make it a bit more challenging. The anodizing would be nice! The liner would be easy as one could send a large batch to get them laser cut. The ti scale would be nice but spendy at $200.
 
I'd love for a normal carry clip as an alternative to the deep carry clip.
 
What I really really really really really want is for Rick Hinderer to make different colored scales for the 056x like they did with the 0551. ORANGE G10 would look HOT on this knife.

Has anybody scotchbrited their TI yet? Mine already has a bit of wear and I was thinking about just taking all of the coating off.

Try forum knife maker PeterR. With blade over he might make them again.

Honestly,

Id like Hinderer to make different color scales like he did for the 0550 series.

Nothing to extravagant but some different color options would be nice.

Id be up for a tiger striped scale. Or a nice Heat flamed TI scale.

Just a thought.
 
I actually just emailed Hinderer Knives about them making scales for the 560/561. Their response was that they do not have any immediate plans to make them, but they are a future project.

That's good enough for me.

doesn't surprise me, the scales for the 0550 didn't come out immediately.

As long as they have said its a future project, ill be happy.
 
Yep!! Future project on the scales....and I'm thinking about making a run of titanium standoffs...what do you think?

Will there be any more scales for the 0550/0551?

Or am I going to be forced to get a pink scale?:eek:
