Hi guys,
I'm looking at ordering my first custom 110 from the Buck shop. I currently only have a newer 110 and a 2 dot 110 that I picked up. If you are in this thread and have a custom from them with the different handle materials could you take a second a please upload a pic? It's somewhat hard to see on their site. I'm referring to the handle materials they offer such as asian water buffalo, elk, ram etc? Plus we all love pics :)
Thanks

Here you go... I got this one last Christmas... Ram handles N/S S30V blade... ITE

The 110 in the picture is the cherrywood.

Beware though, not all Koa is created equal.

Note, the BG-42 and damascus blades aren't available anymore from the custom shop.

Oh man these look much better. I'm surprised they have them that small on the site. I understand the builder so you can see them but the pics could be better. These are looking good guys. Keep em coming!

Keep in mind that all the cheap woods ARE a plywood composite kind of stuff, so if you don't want that in a Custom, don't go cheap.

I have two.....the Cherry and the Walnut.

KOA is solid wood.

With any of these materials, you should communicate by phone before ordering and tell them clearly what you like in slabs and have them transfer those instructions to the person that makes your knife.

For example, tell them you want nicely figured KOA or you like a lot of bark on your stag, etc.

If you don't speak up......you have only yourself to blame if you get muddy KOA like Dave did.

Wow... that's beautiful. I need to get me one of those. :D

Done. Trigger pulled! :) Certainly wasn't cheap, but damn that's so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I've actually been wanting to get a custom 110 for a while now but I didn't know what combo to get. I believe this is the most beautiful combo possible.

Very nice and unususal! That's the only one I've ever seen from the Custom Shop with a standard blade stamp. It appears to be a standard 110 blade from 2009 if I'm seeing the date stamp right (right pointing arrow). Every one I have (from the new CS at least) has the Custom stamp, even the ones with a 420HC blade.

Going back and looking at all the pictures again, I see that there are others without the custom stamp. I'm surprised that I hadn't seen that before.
