Custom Arkansas stone size help!

Hello GKD,

I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could possibly get an Arkansas sharpening stone cut to a specified measurement? I have a project idea however it requires a specifically shaped and sized Arkansas stone. Is this even possible or is it just a pipe dream?

Thanks for the reply! There are two configurations and two stone types for each.

-Configuration 1-
3.25" x 2" x 0.25" (The size and shape of a credit card)

-Configuration 2-
4" x 1.26" x 0.25" (with rounded edges)

I would want both in Hard Arkansas and Black Arkansas stones. At the current moment I would only need the 4 stones, with potential for more in the future. Does that seem possible?

Not sure if they could do that low of a volume but give Dan's Whetstone Co. a ring and inquire. They do custom cuts.
