Custom bayonet

I believe this is a Vietnam era USM8 bayonet. A friend of my dads who worked at a machine shop did all the work. He removed the bayonet lug, added clear polycarbonate rings, and aluminum guard, buttcap, and rings. I do not know the steel but I assume it is high carbon because there is some natural patina. Knife also comes with it's scabbard with the USM8 stamping.
