I am wanting to have some custom work done on a Benchmade 586 Mini Barrage with M390 Satin Plain Edge Blade

I would like the blade, liners, and pocket clip stonewashed

I want the factory pocket clip changed to a deep carry pocket clip from a Benchmade Contego positioned for right hand tip up carry

I would like the safety removed so the backspacer can extend as far up the spine as possible

I would like the backspacer to be orange anodized aluminum. Possibly with some custom file work. Like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBojukf07EU&sns=em

If there isn't anyone available who can do that I will settle on orange G10. I'm not sure yet if I would want the G10 to have the same texture as the factory backspacer or smooth and flush with the liners. I'm not sure if it's possible with this knife but another option would be orange titanium standoffs.

I want the scales to be matte black canvas micarta (with no grooves) I want them to be slightly rounded to show the pattern or grain of the micarta.

Soooo.... I would suggest that with all those things while there might be one person who can do them all, you might be better served to send various bits out to various folks who specialize in each. For scales and backpacers I'd look at someone like Keyman who I know has done Barrages.

For stone wash I'd look to someone who's stonewash you like the look of. There's a range. Personally I like the dark contrast stonewash someone like Josh at Razor Edge does (if he'll take that on). Especailly if you want to have the blad edone with contrasting flats and bevesl or such.

And finally file work is its own specialty, having dabbled in it, its harder than it looks to get it perfectly even and matched, although it looks amazing when it is done.

The clip should be available from Benchmade direct, and I have heard of them sending them for free. Or you can talk to someone like gnoleb about Ti clip and standoffs.

I have had good luck with all these guys. I'm working up a 710 gentleman's knife that will have nothing 100% original on it when I'm done... (well maybe thumbstud and axis lock knob.) And I'm doing it with each bit from the specialist in their area. :D

Thank you for the info Rapt_up. I have tried contacting Keyman, but haven't received a response. I'll try getting in touch with the other guys you mentioned to see if any of them would be interested in doing the work.

I can make you scales and a back spacer or SS standoffs.
Everything else would need to be out sourced.
By the way I have received no PM's or emails from you.
FYI: Non-paying members are not allowed to send PM's and Ti does not anodize to orange.
Good luck with your project though.
Sounds like it will come out very cool if you can get everything done.

PS: did you try the guy in your posted video?

I guess that explains why you didn't get my messages. I did try the guy that did the work from the video. He is making custom knives now and was not willing to help. Send me an email or a pm so we can get in touch. I am excited about getting this project going.

Thanks for the pictures Keyman. If you have any more I'd like to see them. Rapt_up if you have any pictures of that 710 you're working on I would like to see those too.
